Some news for our Clients…
Bocca di Magra is a cosy hamlet in the province of La Spezia, born as anglers’ village, laid out on the right bank of the River Magra, facing Fiumaretta.
Worldwide renown as a meeting place for intellectuals like Eugenio Montale, Giulio Einaudi and Cesare Pavese, it was included into the Val Di Magra and Terre di Luni Natural Park.
Fishing is the area main activity and fresh fish can be bought on a daily basis from the pier.
Spectacular inlaid beaches, like Punta Bianca, with its white cliffs and pebbles and Punta Corvo can be reached by private and for rent boats from the local piers.
A breathtaking road goes through Montemarcello, a hamlet that dominates La Spezia Gulf and the Magra Valley.
Don’t forget to visit the Castle of Ameglia.
It can be reached by climbing up the steep cobbled streets that, with a series of stairs and passages in the gallery, leading to the main square of the small village town of Ameglia. Here, the castle shows his monumental stone masonry on which there are many windows. At his side stands the ancient round tower that appears, instead, as an impenetrable monolith, with almost no openings in absolute defensive pose. A majestic and severe appearance that portends the delicacy of the court that’s hidden inside and which overlooks the valley.
